The 50+ Point Inspection Includes:

  • Check Hood release, hinges, prop rods or gas struts are operational
  • Valve Cover and head gasket are in good condition
  • Check all fluid levels, engine oil, transmission, clutch (if applicable)
  • Check radiator for leaks and/or damage
  • Verify blades for cooling fan are not damaged or bent
  • Check coolant level
  • Inspect air filter/filter housing for debris (leaves or bugs)
  • Inspect battery for cracks and leaks inspect posts and cables
  • All seat belts are operational webbing and buckles at all seating positions
  • Inspect all child seat hardware and latches
  • Check all sun visors are operational
  • Check all interior lights/switches are operational
  • Check operation of rear hatch or trunk release in good order
  • Inspect for seal damages and weather strip
  • Deck lid pull down feature if equipped
  • Inspect operation of the remote fuel door release if equipped
  • Check and lubricate all doors and hinges
  • Inspect operation of manual or power door locks and rear security locks
  • Check doors cannot be opened in the locked position
  • Inspect carpet and floor mats for burns, dirt and excessive wear
  • Inspect spare tire and wheel condition
  • Inspect all tools needed to change spare are intact
  • Headlamp switch high/low beam is functional
  • Twilight/headlamp delay feature ok (if equipped)
  • Front and rear parking lamps
  • Brake and backup lamps/Left/right turn signal lamps
  • Hazard warning lights are operational
  • Tires meet 4/32 minimum requirement
  • Wheel covers/Centre caps are ok
  • Tire side walls, valve stems and wear pattern
  • Tire size/correct air pressure/lug nuts secured
  • Inspect wheel rims for damage
  • Front shock absorbers/strut assembly
  • Rear shock absorbers/strut assembly
  • Transmission shift assembly
  • Check for transmission noise
  • Clutch pedal/gear shift engagement
  • Brake System is operational ABS (if equipped)
  • Brake fluid is topped up
  • Brake rotors and drums/ Brake pads and shoes *visual inspection only
  • Parking brake operational
  • Inspect all engine mounts and bushings
  • Front suspension link/sway bar
  • CV dust cover boot void or rips or damage
  • Inspect differential for leaks
  • Front drive axle
  • Fuel tank and delivery lines are sound no fuel odour
  • Vehicle shows no signs of collision damage
  • Exhaust system hung/routed properly listen and look for leaks
